Dr Hayathem Helali is a maxillofacial, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon practicing in Tunis. Her practice covers maxillofacial surgery, oncoplastic surgery, and aesthetic surgery of the face and body. She completed her residency in maxillofacial and aesthetic surgery in the hospitals of Tunis from 2009 to 2012, and obtained her doctorate in medicine in 2012 with the highest honours and the jury's commendation. From 2013 to 2018, she served as a hospital-university assistant professor in maxillofacial, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis. She completed a sub-specialisation in cranio-orbital surgery and craniosynostosis at Hôpital Necker – Enfants Malades in Paris. She has been a member of the Société Tunisienne de Chirurgie Esthétique since 2015, treasurer of the Société Tunisienne de Chirurgie Plastique, Réparatrice et Esthétique since 2016, and a member of the AO Foundation (AOCMF) since 2013, within which she serves as a training surgeon for the Middle East and North Africa region.
